Weekdays are reserved for area photographers to reserve the fields just for their clients. This allows for a more private photography session. This option is designed to be more economical for you and your clients. The field rental for the entire day is equivalent to less than 20 regular-price weekend admissions.
There are restroom facilities available, but there will not be any farm staff or concessions available on weekdays. There is no power available at the sunflower field, but you are welcome to bring an inverter/generator if you need it to power your equipment.
You may only take photographs in the sunflower field. For your and your client's safety, please do not open any gates or go to any other areas of the farm.
It is up to you how to schedule you and your client's time in the field. The most sought-after photos are at sunset. You'll have around 30 minutes each evening to capture the photos with just the right light and the beautiful sun setting behind the blooms.
Your clients may pick 5 sunflower stems per family/group. Please bring your own snips as we cannot guarantee you will have access to ours during weekdays. Additional frequently asked questions can be found here.
Professional photography is permitted and there’s no site fee when the fields are open to the public - you and your clients will just purchase entry tickets and you’re good to go. This option is available on Friday evenings and on weekends. If you select this route, we encourage ticket purchase far in advance to avoid any sell-outs. We sell a limited number of tickets per day. We DO NOT allow reflectors, flash boxes, tripods, props, or any other equipment that may get in the way of other guests Friday - Sunday.
